Project Description:
The City of Casey have embarked on yet another landmark project with the commencement of the Cranbourne Aquatic and Leisure Centre that is to be built adjacent to the Cranbourne Indoor Leisure Complex Site and will include an indoor 50 metre pool, two leisure water zones, program pool, spa pool, sauna, change rooms, weights, circuit and multi-purpose areas, crèche centre and landscaping. This facility represents another major investment by the City of Casey in public leisure infrastructure that is to be project managed by PSA.

PSA's Role:
PSA Project were engaged by the City of Casey following the feasibility stage of the project to provide effective project management for the design, construction and commissioning phases. This included the brief development, consultant selection and design documentation process to ensure the developed facilities met the sports, community and revenue generation objectives of the council.

The delivery method has been developed in line with the Project objectives and with key input from the Design Consultants and Client. A novation form of contract has been created by PSA Project for the construction phase to ensure the Council is protected from time and cost overruns while maintaining effective control over quality.

The consultants have been novated to the contractor to finalise the design development as part of the novation form of contract and are currently in the construction phase of the project. Hansen & Yuncken was appointed contractor on the project based on their past experience & expertise.

The Practical completion date is mid 2009.

Project Description:
Melbourne Rectangular Stadium (MRS) is being constructed to accommodate for more than 31,000 soccer and rugby fans in this purpose built arena within the Melbourne Olympic Park precinct. The stadium will be the new home of Melbourne’s A-League Soccer team, Melbourne Victory, as well as Melbourne Storm.

The new stadium will have a Bioframe design with a geodesic dome roof which will cover most of the seating area. This project has commenced onsite construction and it is expected to be completed by the start of 2010.

PSA's Role:
PSA has been engaged by the D&C Contractor Grocon in this project to provide them with overall project planning, programming, monitoring and reporting services. Design and documentation planning, programming, monitoring and reporting as well as advising on appropriate contractual strategies.

Project Description:
Ericsson is a global leader in the communications industry, offering complete solutions to their customers needs. Ericsson provides telecommunications network operators and other clients a complete range of services from business consulting through to design, planning, building, optimising, support and managing of communications infrastructure and products.

PSA's Role:
PSA Project have provided project management consulting services to Ericsson Australia for 15 years. In this time, PSA has been instrumental in assisting Ericsson to develop it's internal project management systems, processes and methodology.

In more recent years, PSA has provided specialist services to Ericsson in the development of more robust and effective risk management methodology inclusive of systems and tools for quantifying, monitoring and managing risk mitigation.

Additionally, PSA have been providing specialist project planning services to Ericsson's Project Office. In the provision of these services PSA Project have been mentoring and training the Ericsson project managers to increase their strategic planning, commercial acumen and scheduling processes to align delivery of multiple projects to corporate expectations and priorities and to client needs.

PSA Project have provided expert Project Management Services for Australia Post since 1988 and have successfully helped deliver major office accommodation, network facilities, retail facilities and network renewal process changes.

PSA Project provide and develop specific management processes for a variety of business groups within Australia Post, focusing on project planning and control, risk management and project management methodolgy. These have been implemented by Australia Post as part of their major infrastructure achievements and ongoing business improvement.

PSA Project are continuing to provide their expertise in effective program support, scheduling and control for Australia Post on the Future Delivery Design program (FDD). The objective of the varying projects within the FDD program is to develop a design of the Delivery Network that will meet the future customers needs and objectives of Australia Post.

PSA's Role:
Key achievements of PSA Project have helped deliver major facilities projects for Australia Post over the past 15 years and has contributed to the adoption of Project Management systems into the facility management groups.

PSA has provided full Project Management for the major developments undertaken, including mail processing and delivery facilities and major accommodation fit outs.

Project Description:
Australia Post has established a project office to overview the ongoing projects undertaken within the mail network division to deliver corporate strategy. The project office has the responsibility to provide guidance and direction in respect to methodology, reporting and overall governance for all strategic projects undertaken by the group.

PSA's Role:
PSA have been instrumental in the establishment of the project office and determining policy and procedures for governance and reporting structures. PSA provide ongoing support and resources to the project office to implement the project reports, governance and guidance.

PSA are currently working with other divisions within Australia Post to assist in the establishment of policy and procedure for project management delivery including governance and reporting structures.
