The grand public facilities within 'the ARC'

PSA Project provided total project management services for this landmark and award winning project for the City of Casey. PSA Project worked with the City Council from initial conception, through feasibility, design, procurement and final delivery of the centre.

The City of Casey's newest facility, the Aquatic and Recreation Centre, the [Casey]-'ARC' as it is affectionately known, is proof (if it is needed) that with proper management goals can be achieved. The project was achieved within budget, to the agreed programme and has met all the stakeholders requirements in terms of quality and operations.

This project was successfully delivered using a "positive novation" contract and very detailed project planning and monitoring. It was also developed using a co-operative project and risk management methodology and we worked closely with our stakeholders to eveolve the best outcome in what would become an award winning project.

An insight into the award winning aspects of the ARC

PSA Project worked closely with the City of Casey to initially confirm the feasibility for the project and to establish key objectives for the development in terms of time, cost and quality, whilst at the same time managing the significant risks that such a project presents.

Once confirmed as a feasible project, PSA Project ensured the design team selection was undertaken to achieve the agreed goals and to meet the probity requirements of a Council tender.

Similarly the project Construction tender process was detailed and focused on achieving the best outcome for the project. Fletcher Construction won the tender, which was for a Novated Design and Construct responsibility. Fletchers were contractually responsible to Council for the final detailed design and delivery of the project in accordance with the detailed design brief previously developed and signed off for the project. A similar approach is being used in the delivery of the MCG Northern Stand redevelopment with Grocon and has been used by PSA Project to deliver many successful projects. PSA Project detailed planning and contract control ensured the delivery and commissioning of the project was achieved to all stakeholders satisfaction. The centre has been well received by the community and occupancy rates are above expectations.

A well planned, managed and developed project that has created a landmark facility for the growing Casey Community.

The centre was delivered under budget, to programme and the agreed quality.
